Client
project: The significant
extension and alteration of a Victorian house, including the installation
of a private sewage treatment plant, in an area of a very high water
table and environmental sensitivity.
Extensive structural alterations were made to create
large open plan ground floor living areas, a contemporary kitchen
and outdoor living space that were all designed to take advantage
of the views over the adjacent river, water meadows and parish church.
Phase two, completed at a later
date, added a self-contained garden annexe in a contrasting barn
style design finished in weatherboard under a water reed thatch
roof. The result is a substantial period property enhanced by its
waterside environment.
