project: Restoration
and alteration of Grade II Listed building
Fine Art auctioneers and property consultants Dreweatt
Neate decided to undertake major alteration and restoration work
at their salerooms in Donnington Priory, a beautiful Grade II Listed
building overlooking the River Lambourn in Berkshire. In addition
to the unique and demanding requirements of working with this listed
property Osmer Building faced the additional challenge of having
to complete the work whilst allowing the business to continue to
operate with minimum disruption.
The use of high quality materials
and furnishings from designers such as Arne Jacobsen, William Morris
and Farrow and Ball resulted in a sympathetic finish that blends
perfectly with the existing building and provides an excellent background
for the display and sale of valuable art and antiques.
